Ray Huff

Ray L. Huff has been in the property management, development, construction, and sales business for over 37 years. He has assisted in developing and building over 60 apartment properties in the southeast and has extensive management experience in conventional, student, and low-income housing (RD Section 515, HUD Section 8, and Tax Credit). He understands that each market area is different and believes in creating the best strategy for each property to optimize the occupancy for the owner/client. He believes that a strong maintenance program and strong collections are key ingredients in protecting the owner/client investment. He also believes that the resident/customer must be properly taken care of in order to have a successful property.

Ray is the Qualifying Broker for Auburn Realty's Glenn Avenue Office and is responsible for all operations, including financial, budgeting, and personnel, of Auburn Realty which manages thirteen condominium properties, nine apartment complexes, and many other various individual rental units - Approximately 1300 units.

He currently is serving as the Chairman of the Auburn Downtown Redevelopment Authority for the City of Auburn.  He served as a member of the University Relations Committee for the Auburn Chamber of Commerce.  He was the Founding President of the Alabama Council for Affordable and Rural Housing.  He served as its President for 4 years and is still an ex-officio member of its Board of Directors.  Ray has also served as Board Member, Treasurer, Secretary, President, and Chairman of the Board of the Council for Affordable and Rural Housing - a national rural housing organization based in Washington, D.C.  He also was a member of Governor’s initial task force to formulate the first Coordinated Housing Assessment Strategy (CHAS) for the State of Alabama.
